A: Most of us designers love decorating children’s rooms. They usually present special opportunities to create personality, whimsy, fantasy, or even another locale. Children’s rooms sometimes also offer the homeowner more than one chance for a redesign as children grow.
Using a theme, like pirate or princess is great for a child who likes adventure while a game theme is good for a teenager that loves the thrill of video games. It’s important to include your child in the discussion — it’s their room after all, and they should have a slice of creative control.
